Following the announcement of the 2nd National Competition in Violin for awarding the Ismene Chrysochoou-Karter & George Karter Scholarship, the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation announces that the Competition will take place on Monday 21 September 2015, in the Golden Room of Grande Bretagne Hotel.
The competition is held with the kind sponsorship of Mrs. Ismene Chrysochoou-Karter, distinguished violinist and violin professor of the Athenian Concervatory, dedicated to the memory of her late husband George Karter, prominent intellectual, journalist and director of the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation (ERT).
Recipients of the scholarship should be Greek citizens pursuing postgraduate studies in an acknowledged Academic Music Institution of their choice abroad (Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and Sweden).
