The ” Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation» announces the third National Violin Competition for granting the Ismini Chrysohoou Carter – George Carter scholarship  for violin studies abroad (to obtain Bachelor or Master).

The contest is sponsored by the distinguished violinist and Professor of the Conservatory of Athens Isminis Chrysohoou – Carter, in memory of her husband, eminent intellectual, journalist and director of ERT, George Carter.

The scholars should undertake their studies at Recognized Music Institutes abroad (Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Italy, Great Britain, Netherlands, Portugal, Sweden and Finland) of their choice.

The scholarship will be granted for two (2) consecutive academic years starting in 2016.

The annual amount of the scholarship is ten thousand euros (10,000), ie the total amount of the scholarship is twenty thousand euros (20,000).

The contest will be held in September 2016 in the Golden Room of the Grande Bretagne Hotel.

Eligible for the scholarship are only Greek or Cypriot cityzens.

Applications for participation in the competition are accepted until August 31, 2016, accompanied by the necessary supporting documents.
