
The Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation participates in the international student initiative AIESEC.
AIESEC is the largest network managed and consisting exclusively of people aged 18-30 with a presence in more than 120 countries and regions. Its purpose is to develop leadership skills in young people through intercultural exchanges. These exchanges are either voluntary or internships and aim at the personal and professional development of young people, while at the same time creating a positive impact on society. Since 2015, AIESEC has been working with the UN to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
AIESEC Greece has a physical presence in over 7 Universities throughout Greece and is constantly expanding.
With the suspension of severe travel restrictions due to COVID-19, the Foundation welcomed three students for an internship for six weeks.
Adrian Butucanu and Laurentiulonut Mirica from Romania and Ilaria Sabba from Italy undertook work on preparing and delivering a series of talks on modern China at the Foundation next fall. The series of these lectures that will be given by university professors from Greece and abroad is part of the activities of the Center for Chinese Studies of the Foundation.
