The Panhellenic Poetry Competition for unpublished poetry collection was first announced by the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation in 2015. In the following years, two more announcements followed.
The competition was sponsored by Ismini Chrysochou-Carter in honor of the poetic and journalistic work of her late husband, George Carter, prominent intellectual, journalist and director of the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation (ERT).
