The Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation participates in the celebration of the International Archives Day.
On June 9, 2015, archivists from around the world came together to celebrate and highlight the importance and achievements of the profession. The result is presented at the website http://www.internationalarchivesday.org/wordpress/index.php of the Commission of Regional and Municipal Archives of the International Council on Archives.
The Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation, in response to the invitation of the International Council on Archives (ICA) and the General State Archives, participates in the celebration of the International Day of Archives by presenting a letter from its Nelson Collection.
The Foundation has archival collections, which are an integral part of the Historical Library. The collections are classified and cataloged by staff of the Foundation, while processing has been completed (classification and cataloging to item level) of the archival material contained in the Archive of Kostoula Mitropoulou and that of Admiral Christos Dounis.
