Short Description
Awards Ceremony of the 2nd National Literary Competition in memory of Kaiti Laskaridou

On Sunday, November 30, 2014, at 12:00, the award ceremony of the 2nd National Literary Contest of 2013-2014 in memory of Kaiti Laskaridou was held at the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation.

 The competition for first short story, which successfully entered its fourteenth year, is approved by the Ministry of Education and supported by the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation.  Secondary education students from all Greece schools are eligible to apply.

The rationale of the Panel of Judges for awarding the prizes was presented by its Head, Mrs. Titika Dimitroulia, Assistant Professor at the French Language and Literature Department of the Aristotelian University of Thessaloniki and Literary Critic.

The short stories of the award winners were read by the actors Yulika Skafida and Nikos Poursanidis.

The event was held in the building of  2nd Merarchias & Aktis Moutsopoulou.

With the unanimous decision of the judges, the prizes were awarded as follows:
FOR GYMNASIO
AWARDS:
The 1st prize is unanimously awarded equally to Christina – Georgia Vlachopoulou, student of the first grade of Pilot Gymnasium of Anavryta for the short story “The dessert is bitter, add sugar”, and to Constantinos Theophilopoulos, student of the second grade of the 2nd Gymnasio of Piraeus for the short story “The agreement of silence”.
The 2nd prize is unanimously awarded to Charalampos Koutsioumpas, student of the second grade of the 1st Gymnasio of Trikala, for the short story “The traitor”.
The 3rd prize is unanimously awarded to Nefeli Stathaki, student of the first grade of Gymnasio of Elafonissos, for the short story “A true friendship”.
FOR LYKEIO 
AWARDS: 
The 1st prize is unanimously awarded to Angeliki Apostolaki, student of the second grade of Lykeio “Mikis Theodorakis” of Skala, Oropos, for the short story “Post  my soul in a page’s heartbeat “.
The 2nd prize is unanimously awarded to Sotiris Niarchos, student in the third grade of Zanneio Pilot Lykeio of Piraeus, for the short story “The locked-in”.
The 3rd prize is unanimously awarded to Dimitra Assimakopoulou, student in the third grade of the 3rd Lykeio of Agia Paraskevi, for the short story “The balloon”.
The awards ceremony of the 2nd National Literary Competition was attended by the former Minister of Education Mr. Konstantinos Arvanitopoulos, Member of the Parliament, 1st Piraeus & Islands; the President of the Maniatakeion Foundation, Mr. Dimitris Maniatakis; former Ambassador John Bourloyannis – Tsagaridis, President of the Association of Friends of the Gennadius Library; and other representatives from the fields of Education, Politics and Culture.
