A tribute to Marie Curie: the woman who became the first female professor at the Sorbonne University, discovered radium and polonium and was twice awarded with the Nobel Prize for Physics and Chemistry. Speakers were Dr. Petros Rapidis, ex-Director of the Institute of Nuclear and Particle Physics “Democritus”, and Dr. Laokratia Lakka, biologist, ex-researcher at the Royal Cancer Hospital and the Fondation Curie.
