The book and paper conservation lab of the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation participated in the celebration of the European Day for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage for the third consecutive year. On the topic of “Good practices for integrating new collections into a Library and the role of the conservator”, we created a video presenting the process of acquiring the Roman law library of Armand Vandeplas. In addition, on Sunday, October 10, 2021, a special event was held at the Foundation’s Historical Library, where the public had the opportunity to see old material from our collections up close and learn about the basic damage to books and ways to restore them.
