The library was donated to the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation in 2019 and is estimated to consist of approximately 2,800 items. The collection primarily focuses on hydrogeology and ecology.

Biography
Georgios K. Stournaras was Professor Emeritus of hydrogeology and engineering geology at the University of Athens. His research interests include hydrogeology, engineering geology, environmental geology, and the Gaia theory. He has also taught at the Universities of Thessaly, Thessaloniki, and Grenoble. He was a member of several international and Greek scientific committees, societies, and associations, including the International Committee of Waste Disposal, the International Committee of Hardrock Hydrogeology, the European COST 620 Committee, the World Water Council, and the Greek Committee on Hydrogeology, where he has held key positions. He has participated as a scientific advisor in Greek and international programs and as a researcher and consultant in the preparation of studies and the construction of private and public projects both in Greece and abroad. He has written several significant works, one of which has received an award by the Academy of Athens.
