The library of Professor Constance Tagopoulos

The collection is estimated to comprise approximately 1,500 books donated by Constance Tagopoulos to the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation in 2019. Most of the books are in English and focus on literary criticism and ancient Greece.

Biography

Constance Tagopoulos is an academic and an author. She was born in Athens and has lived in New York since 1965. She studied comparative literature and psychology at Fordham University and holds a Doctorate in comparative literature from the City University of New York (CUNY). She has taught in various university departments in the United States. She has published monographs and articles and has presented at many conferences mainly on the subjects of classical philology, modern Greek philology and comparative literature. She is a founding member of the New York Branch of the International Society of Friends of Nikos Kazantzakis.
