The Kaiti Laskaridou Library celebrates thirty years of cultural presence with a unique temporary exhibition. “30 Years, 30 Books: Tiny, Mighty, Precious, Rare”—a curated journey through the rare collections of the Historical Library, where books of diverse themes reveal the knowledge, art, and history held within their pages.
From rare works that shaped the course of thought and science, to impressive editions with exquisite bindings and intricate illustrations, and even miniature books—this exhibition highlights the timeless value of the book. Featured publications are linked to travel literature, religious writings, ancient Greek knowledge, the Enlightenment, and the Greek Revolution. Visitors will have the chance to discover books with a rich history—volumes that have passed through generations of readers and traveled through time.
Hosted within the Historical Library itself, the exhibition offers visitors the opportunity to encounter precious artifacts up close and explore the collections through new narratives and pathways.
