The Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation participates in the Sea Days 2026 and on Saturday, June 13, 2026, it opens its doors to the public!
Visitors will have the opportunity to visit the buildings of our Libraries.
The actions in detail:
Historical Library (36 2nd Merarchias Street & Akti Moutsopoulou, Piraeus)
- Nautical Collection of the Foundation (collection of bone models of sailing ships and naval objects, as well as the collections of Admirals Codrington and Nelson),11.00-13.00, without pre-registration.
- Exhibition “30 years, 30 books: tiny, mighty, precious, rare”, 11.00-13.00, registration here.
- Image Exhibition «Faith and Art», Velimezis Collection, 11.00-13.00, without pre-registration. *At 12.00 there will be a tour of the exhibition with Christos Margaritis, donor of the collection.
Lending Library (173 Kountouriotou Street, Piraeus)
- Lending Library: A meeting point for the city’s residents: Visit – tour for young and old book lovers in its premises and information on its operation and actions, hours 11.00-13.00, registration here.
- Educational activity for children and teenagers 9-14 years old: With a boat called Evangelistria, 11.00 – 13.00, registration here.
Traditional shipbuilding through the digital application “With a boat called Evangelistria”. An original acquaintance with traditional shipbuilding through 3D design and printing. The purpose of the activity is for children to get to know the traditional shipbuilding, the types of sailing, the types of traditional boats and the three-dimensional presentation of a traditional boat.
