Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation-Participation in the exhibition of the Museum of Cycladic Art for Chaeronia

Participation in the exhibition of the Museum of Cycladic Art for Chaeronia

From December 14, 2023 until March 31, 2024, at the Stathatos Mansion of the Museum of Cycladic Art.

From December 14, 2023 until March 31, 2024, the exhibition “Chaeronea, August 2, 338 BC: A day that changed the world” will be presented at the Stathatos Mansion of the Museum of Cycladic Art. It is a landmark exhibition about the historic day that brought Alexander the Great, one of the great protagonists of world history, to the political scene. The exhibition, curated by Dr. Panagiotis Joseph and Dr. Ioannis Fappas, curators of the Museum, is part of the Museum’s new series of archaeological exhibitions “People’s Stories”.

The Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation participates by borrowing four rare items from its Historical Library (collections of P. K. Laskaridis and Bibliotheca Graeca S. Economopoulos), whose texts and illustrations add another piece to the picture of this historic day created through the approximately 260 objects of the exhibition.
