The library of architect and book historian Konstantinos Sp. Staikos

Content

Konstantinos Staikos donated his research library to the Historical Library of the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation. This collection consists of works related to history—both Greek and international—with a particular emphasis on the Renaissance, architecture, art history, Greek and world literature, philosophy, and the history of ideas. A significant portion of the collection focuses on the history of books and printing, libraries in Greece and Europe, and bibliographies, making it one of the most comprehensive Greek collections in this field. Overall, the library is estimated to consist of approximately 8,000 items. A small portion of the collection was donated during the establishment of the Historical Library and has already been integrated into the catalogue, while the main part of the collection was acquired by the Foundation in 2024.
