The “Kaiti Laskaridi” Lending Library and the Greek Section of IBBY – Greek Children’s Book Circle invite you to BookFest, on Saturday, November 29 at the Historical Library.
Entitled When books connect us, BookFest marks the beginning of the collaboration between the two institutions, that join forces for a new course full of actions, meetings with creators and the development of the “Book Fanatics” platform.
In the year of the 30th anniversary of the “Kaiti Laskaridi” Lending Library, this partnership seals the common vision of the two institutions – the promotion of children and adolescent literature and the cultivation of reading.
BookFest Schedule:
- Presentation of joint actions of the institutions.
- Announcement of the “Book Fanatics” digital platform.
- Book Chain: Completion of the relocation of the Greek section of the IBBY Library to the “Kaiti Laskaridi” Lending Library.
- Meetings with book creators.
- Greek authors – nominees for the International Andersen Prize reading their stories. The authors: Angeliki Darlasi, Eleni Dikaiou, Vangelis Iliopoulos, Manos Kontoleon, Sofia Mantouvalou, Maria Papagianni and Evgenios Trivizas read for the first time their stories that will become the occasion for the “Declaration of the Little Reader”.
The BookFest event will be inaugurated by Katerina Laskaridis, Vice President of the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation, and Vangelis Iliopoulos, President of the Greek Section of IBBY – Greek Children’s Book Circle.
