On Thursday, January 8 2026, o group of postgraduate students of philosophy from the University of Athens visited the Historical Library. The visit was organised by Constantin Irodotou, a member of the authorized teaching staff of the Department of Philosophy. The students were informed about the Foundation’s activities and services of the Historical Library, and were given a guided tour of the temporary exhibition “30 Years, 30 Books: Tiny, Mighty, Precious, Rare.” Particular emphasis was placed on the exhibits from the Enlightenment period, a point of focus of their course. The lecture was supported with an on-site presentation of books from the collections of the Historical Library. Among them were incunables and early printed books, volums from the monumental French Encyclopedia, edited by Diderot and d’Alembert, and works by prominent Greek enlightenment scholar Adamantios Korais in first editions.
