On Friday September 22, 2023, the President of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), Mr. Gao Xiang, visited the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation (ALF), accompanied by staff members of the Academy’s Institute of European Studies. The President and his staff were welcomed by the President, Panos Laskaridis, the members of the Board of Directors and the General Director of the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation. The meeting was also attended by H.E. the Ambassador of People’s Republic of China to Greece, Mr. Xiao Junzheng.
The purpose of the meeting was to strengthen the cooperation between the two organizations within the framework of the agreement signed in 2019, the CASS-ALF Center for China Studies (CACCS) was founded, based at the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation premises in Piraeus since then.
The meeting took place in a particularly warm atmosphere and it was agreed to further deepen relations between the two sides, with emphasis in the field of culture.
