An early History of Music in Greek

One of the earliest books on the history of music (Henri Lavoix, 1884 or 1885), translated in Greek just a few years after its original publication. The translator, Athena N. Seremeti, was a successful pianist and music theorist. She hosted a musical and literary salon for contemporary artists and was also the piano teacher of well-known Greek poet Napoleon Lapathiotis. This book copy bears her handwritten dedication to military officer and politician Ioannis Papadiamantopoulos.
