On the occasion of the collaboration of the Greek section of IBBY with the Library of the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation, a new and promising chapter begins for the Library of the Greek Children’s Book Cycle.
For the next 20 years, the Library of the Greek Children’s Book Cycle will be housed in the premises of the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation Lending Library, acquiring a new, hospitable and functional home.
The books in the collection will be catalogued and available for loan to anyone interested and accessible to the public and researchers.
Transportation is not just physical. It is also symbolic. It is a move that strengthens the presence of children’s books in the cultural space and ensures its preservation and utilization in the future.
With the transfer of the library, we are given the opportunity to discover the works of the pioneers, who paved the way for all of us. In the new home of the library of the Greek Children’s Book Cycle, you will discover great books outside the market, forgotten authors, publishing houses that no longer exist.
