On December 2nd 2025, a group of students from the Department of Theater Studies of the University of Athens visited the Historical Library. The visit was organized in reference to the course for the History of Books, taught by Professor Anna Karakatsouli, who accompanied the group. The students were given a guided tour of the temporary exhibition “30 Years, 30 Books: Tiny, Mighty, Precious, Rare”. They were thus presented with a vivid representation of the evolution of European printing, and especially of the Greek book, thanks to selected items from the collections of the Historical Library.
This was followed by a presentation of rare books that the group had the opportunity to examine up close. The emphasis was placed on Greek incunabula and early printed editions, as well as on the European and Modern Greek enlightenment. Finally, our visitors were informed about the services of the Historical Library and the Foundation’s activities in general.
