The collection primarily comprises the library of Professor Paul Bernard from the Délégation Archéologique Française en Afghanistan. It also includes the library of Dr. Oscar White Muscarella from The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Additionally, it is enriched by books from the collections of Professors Philip Kohl of Wellesley College, Louis Flam of Lehman College, City University of New York, and Maurizio Tosi of the University of Bologna-Ravenna. The collection is predominantly focused on archaeology, with particular emphasis on Eastern Hellenism and regions such as Greece, the Black Sea, the Caucasus, Western and Central Asia, the Indus River Valley, and India. In total, it comprises approximately 3,700 items.
