The library, estimated to contain approximately 3,000 items, was donated to the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation by Giorgos Spanos, the son of Kostas Spanos. Its subject matter covers bibliology-bibliography, the history of printing, and general topics related to the history of books. It features both Greek and foreign editions, primarily in English and French. Parts of the collection have been exhibited over the years at book fairs.

Kostas Spanos was a bibliophile, publisher, and bookseller. He continued and expanded the work of his father, publisher and bookseller Charalambos Spanos, running the publishing houses ‘Spanos Rare Books’ and ‘The Bibliophiles’ Bookstore’. He published the magazine ‘Bibliophilia’, along with books and reprints of rare publications, the most notable of which was the 1976 reprint of the first dated Greek book, the Grammar of Konstantinos Laskaris (1476), commemorating five hundred years since its original publication.
