The library was acquired by the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation at the end of 2014, with additional items received until 2020. It mainly focuses on the history of the Macedonian and Cypriot issues. A significant portion also includes modern foreign-language literature, as well as albums on various topics.

Biography
Konstantinos D. Svolopoulos (1938-2019) was professor emeritus at the University of Athens and a member of the Academy of Athens. He studied History and Archaeology at the University of Athens and Political Science at the Universities of Strasbourg and Paris. He earned his doctorate from the Universities of Strasbourg and Athens and became an associate professor at the Law School of the University of Thessaloniki, where he served as a professor of the History of International Relations (1981-1989). From 1962 to 1965, he curated the archive of Eleftherios Venizelos at the Benaki Museum. He served as the director of the Institute for Balkan Studies for nine years and was one of the three founders of the Konstantinos Karamanlis Foundation, alongside K. Tsatsos and K. Trypanis. In 1989, he was appointed professor of Modern Greek History at the University of Athens. In 2003, he was elected a full member of the Academy of Athens in the chair of “History of the Greeks in Modern Times.” He was a member of the scientific council of the De Gaulle Foundation and an honourary member of the SE Europe Society in Munich. He had a prolific writing career, primarily focused on historical subjects.
